Home | Previous messageHello I have the Cybershot DSC-T1 and got the error E:61.00. Since Sony is so expensive to repair, I decided to buy another camera. However, after reading the crazy solution offered by some in this forum, I thought what do I have to lose... So I banged the lense with my finger while the camera was off and it did not work. I then decided to drop it while off, on a soft rug and did not work either. Finally, I thought, what the heck, and turned it on. While it was "accessing" I banged the lense on my knee cap (it did not hurt and got rid of some of my frustration). The error message was gone!!! and I was able to focus, use the lense and take picutures!!!. Thanks for this Flinstone solution. Pepito

This is un-f-ing believable. I thought this was just some sort of running, escalating joke, especially when I read that someone hit the thing on their leg 100 times. I figured that I was being had, but I was going to ditch the camera anyway, so I figured what the hell. I have a DSC-T70. I turned it off, hit the bottom of the camera on my knee, turned it on, no luck. I figured I was definitely being had. I turned it off, hit the bottom of the camera on my knee even harder the second time, turned it on. Still got the error message, but I was able to zoom in and out, which I wasn't able to do previously. The picture was still blurry, but not as bad. So, I turned it off, hit it two more times, a little harder still, on my knee cap, and turned it on. Error gone! Perfect pictures. I'm so thankful I googled this. Confirmed to work. You guys rock. This worked a treat for us plus allowed us vent on the camera which prevented us taking our xmas shots!!! Michael My job is electronic technician. Since, in my thought this is something like sofware problem -I've tried to push the Reset button near the Smart Zoom Button, but it only goes back to original default setting. I do not want to open the Camera for inspection since it might introduce another problem as the screw and components are to small to handle, so ive tried to search the internet for possible best solution and found this site. The solution was very funny, but it works after following it. I think this is something like a servo motor problem, if the lens shutter is sticky due to dirt in the opening of the lens and abnormal torque of the shutter cause an error current that trigger this error. So, after dragging the Camera the shutter mechanism loosed and goes back to normal movement. Thank you so much for posting this solution. Wow! I'm amazed! My camera malfuctioned today during my sons christmas-play at school (Bummer...!) Tried this scientific :) method for fixing E:61:00. Dropped the camera twice i my desk, and banged the lense on my knee a few times; E:61:00 still there.... But then I tried to zoom in and out while I banged the lense on my knee during "acsess" and - Voila!! IT WORKED!!! Thanks a lot for helping me fix this problem!! Merry xmas from Norway to ye all!! :) OMG i jst wacked it and it hit my knee's funny bone but my camera works agen...but i dunno for how long! The bang on the knee works. Good as new. Ta for the advice. Initially, I thought this might be a silly prank to get all of us simpletons to inflict bruises on our own knees. But, holy cow! It actually worked! Thank you so much!! After numerous attempts to have the camera repaired we took your advise and simply hit the camera on my husbands knee and BAM the camera is perfect now. This method really works. I just tried it on my error 61. Thanks so much. |
