Home | Previous messageHello I have the Cybershot DSC-T1 and got the error E:61.00. Since Sony is so expensive to repair, I decided to buy another camera. However, after reading the crazy solution offered by some in this forum, I thought what do I have to lose... So I banged the lense with my finger while the camera was off and it did not work. I then decided to drop it while off, on a soft rug and did not work either. Finally, I thought, what the heck, and turned it on. While it was "accessing" I banged the lense on my knee cap (it did not hurt and got rid of some of my frustration). The error message was gone!!! and I was able to focus, use the lense and take picutures!!!. Thanks for this Flinstone solution. Pepito

THIS TOTALLY WORKS!!! It is working!!! Before disasseble the camera try this! holy crap i can't believe it but the knee banging works. thanks man. Amazing. Had the same problem with my DSC-P200 out of nowhere. Banged the lense on my knee cap. E voila ! Thanx It worked! Amazing;) Thank you guys I had the same problem with my camcorder HC-65, and guess what - the "Flintstone rework procedure" worked for me as well. Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences ! Wooooo! Just moved to Japan. The SECOND day I was here, my DSC-T10 showed E:61:00. I couldn't believe it since I had JUST bought it. Went to an electronics store for an estimate on repairs: ¥150 000 (about $150), so I thought I'd check Sony's online handbook for instructions." That turned out to be useless. My last option was to google the error message and I came across this advice. I don't really remember dropping the camera too hard but, then again, who knows. I hand to bang it on my thigh a couple of times. First it went to E:62 and then, SUCCESS! Like brand new. Arigato gozaimasu! I tried baning it, and now my lense is jamed inside the camera! maybe I hit it too hard, but now what do I do? when I turn it on, it says "turn the camera off and on again". I have DSC-P71 digital sony camera. from last 5 days i am receiving an error E:61:00 with this error i am not able to zoom in or out while taking pictures and secondly it shows blured pictures. So kindly help me. Regards, Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat Sopore Kashmir +91-9906546830 This was so helpful - I can't even believe it! I spent over $900 for this camera when it first came out. I thought it just reached the end of it's life after 40,000+ pictures. I tried your bang method, and the first time nothing happened. I realized I was banging the lense, not the body. I turned it off and back on again, and I banged the body against my knee - just enough like the doctor does to make it jump - and it worked!!!!!! Thank you all for your contributions! |
