Home | Previous messageHello I have the Cybershot DSC-T1 and got the error E:61.00. Since Sony is so expensive to repair, I decided to buy another camera. However, after reading the crazy solution offered by some in this forum, I thought what do I have to lose... So I banged the lense with my finger while the camera was off and it did not work. I then decided to drop it while off, on a soft rug and did not work either. Finally, I thought, what the heck, and turned it on. While it was "accessing" I banged the lense on my knee cap (it did not hurt and got rid of some of my frustration). The error message was gone!!! and I was able to focus, use the lense and take picutures!!!. Thanks for this Flinstone solution. Pepito

oh my god me and my husband are still in hysterics! it bloody works a treat! thats sooooo funny! ;o) USA unbelievable !! crazy ! it's worked Same problem. Sony no help. Hitting the camera against my table worked!. It can't believe it!. Paddy. I am a techno clutz, and this solution was made for me - and AMAZINGLY it works! THANKS! If only life were this simple - google the questions of life, and you get the answers. Seriously, for questions of life, google the alpha course. Thank you so much for the advice. I was sightseeing in Czech when I received the error message. I was so distraught. I went online to search for a new camera when I saw that others experienced the same problem with their Sony Cybersot. Sure enough just a few bangs on the side of the camera and Voila, no more error message. I also have DSC-P100 camera And i don-t know why but the other day it gave me E:61:00 error I thought thats it, i need a new camera, other then the error, camera was completely out of focus. So i searched on google and came across this...and ACTUALLY hitting the side, where the lens is, couple of times with my hand, and then turning it off and on and it fixed the problem...HAHAHAHAH Brilliant advice, i have always thought that good old fashion brunt force trauma works for many things, but a high tech things like the SOny cybershot..? Never in a million years. I dropped mine in the desert, had no problems for 2 month but turned it on last week, and the error came up. Thanks a mil! I was very upset and I thought that i lost my favorite camera (error 61: 00)and then I read this log and was laughing. I thought that must be some kind of joke. but, then, by impuls, I lightly bang my camera on my knee (thinking - why knee???!!!))...then I opened my camera again and.....it is fixed. thank you Sony for this sophisticated way of repair of yur stuff - viva perfectionism!!!!! WOW ! my t7's been broke since lastyears shenanigans in ibiza was just about to buy a new one or go to a repair shop and stumbled across this thread \thanks so much people i love the internet !!!! I had to drop my camera a few times on the kitchen counter before this trick finally worked! I too dropped the camera on the beach the day before the access error started. The next camera purchase won't be a sony!! |
