Home | Previous messageHello I have the Cybershot DSC-T1 and got the error E:61.00. Since Sony is so expensive to repair, I decided to buy another camera. However, after reading the crazy solution offered by some in this forum, I thought what do I have to lose... So I banged the lense with my finger while the camera was off and it did not work. I then decided to drop it while off, on a soft rug and did not work either. Finally, I thought, what the heck, and turned it on. While it was "accessing" I banged the lense on my knee cap (it did not hurt and got rid of some of my frustration). The error message was gone!!! and I was able to focus, use the lense and take picutures!!!. Thanks for this Flinstone solution. Pepito

Guys, looks like Sony should include this solution in their user manual. lol. I was getting ready to leave on vacation in the morning and was charging the camera. I turned it on and got the dreaded E:61:00 error. I saw this recommended solution and tried it a few times. The knee did not work, but banged it on the desk and presto. Good as new.......Thanks. I had an E:92:00 message on my Sony Cybershot DSC-P50, that I could not get rid of by removing & replacing the battery, restarting the camera, and pushing the reset button. The only thing that worked was dropping it on the rug. Thanks for the tip! =D took out battery and knocked it on my knee,and.... it really worked out Es hat geklappt! Cybershot beim einschalten auf das Knie hauen und alles wieder ok. Vielen Dank Thank You for providing the solution to fix my Cybershot's E:61:00 error. I used the two finger method by tapping on the top, sides and bottom of the lens. When I turned the camera off and on, the problem was corrected. It is a miracle!!!! i am in Thailand, with my job's camera, the new one from Sony and this 0:61 error appears!!! now, from a cyber cafe in Phuket this amazing solution saves my life!!! thank you so much!!!! for the ones who get this error in the future, try it! it is only a couple of short but determined bangs..AMAZING!!!! This is so funny. I got the error 61 and the camera was basically dead. I could not do anything as it was locked up (but it would turn on). Anyway, I took it to a camera shop. I was told that SONY would charge more to repair it than what a new camera would cost. Then I Googled "Sony Cyber Shot error 61" and found this forum that told me to take the batteries out and when I turned it back on to bang it against my knee. IT WORKED! Ha. Just tried the bang on the knee trick and unbelievable it worked! Thanks a lot! holy f@#$n moly yoll that stone age little trick is the shizil it worked a treet all good thanks |
