Re: JVC Television: Model #JVC AV-32D501; the Video-In jack connection for Input 2 doesn't work. Both the white and red Audio jacks for Input 2 do work; we've tried different video (yellow) cables, which do work on Input 1 and Input 3, but not on Input 2 Video-Input. Any idea why? (Other Info: the S-Video cable from the DVD is using the Video-In S-Video connector for Input 1 and works fine. When we switched the S-Video to Input 2 for testing purposes, we could no longer see the DVD. So our testing shows that neither the S or AV Input jacks on Input 2 work. We are currently using Input 3 for the VCR, but would prefer to route the VCR through Input 2). Also, out of curiosity, what does the word "Over" (which appears to the right of the Video-In connection for Input 2) mean? Does that have anything to do with it not working properly? My JVC TV switches off as soon as I switch it on. This happened yesterday. There is a small blinking red light on the front panel which says "Timer". Is this the cause and how do I disable it to turn it on. Wouldn't you know, I lost the maual. Can you please help? Thanks.

HAVE JVC inherited from Mother.. had to by over the counter remote and has worked fine until now. Somehow the closed caption has been activated and cannot turn it off. I am trying to use the buttons / arrows on the set itself / Get to the closed caption sectin and there's not directive to shut is down. 1997 model - AV20820

My camera we are using in my classroom keeps showing this error message about the safemode being turned on. It also won't shut the tape deck. As we kept trying to figure it out the message said to remove the batter and reattach it. We did both. Then it just quit even turning on or receiving any power from the battery or the power cable.
