Hi Stacy I have a JVC GR-D50AG Mini-DV Camcorder. When I turn the camera on to Auto or Manual mode I get the "lens cap" message even if the lens cap is not covering the lens which disappears after a few seconds. After +/-2 seconds the low contrast warning message appears blinking and stays on with a black background in viewfinder and LCD. I reset the camera to factory settings, tried the manual focus reset etc, but it still does it. I bought the Camcorder in May 2003, however I have used it maybe once a year in the last 2 years. The last time I used it was Nov 2005 and it worked. I decided to transfer my DV tapes to DVD via USB/computer which highlighted this problem when I switched it on. Everything else works as it should i.e. playback is OK etc. Any help would be much appreciated! Regards William Thompson

I have a JVC GR-D90U camcorder. I have a "Condensation Alert" error. I have placed the camera aside for weeks. I live in California where we don't really have alot of mosture in the air. I tunred it on and it worked. I thought everything was OK. Then after a couple weeks I went to use the camcorder and again I have the "Condensation Alert" error. I opened it up and took out the tape to allow air to get in it, now the tape arriage won't close with or without a tape. Any ideas how to solve this problem. I recieved your address from PECHORIN'S website.
