Home"The Petition": My family has a Sony Trinitron TV (Model Number KV-35V36) that was purchased in 1998. It too, like so many other of these TVs suddenly turned off and died. Over the years, we have bought many Sony products and have had little problems. However, this television "epidemic" is a major issue and one that must be dealt with and solved. Therefore, I propose this; ANYONE WHO HAS/HAD A PROBLEM WITH A SONY TRINITION TV, PLEASE POST YOUR NAME, MODEL AND SERIAL NUMBER ON THIS WEBSITE, WHERE I WILL PLACE THEM ON A PETITION TO BE E-MAILED/MAILED TO SONY. They might be able to ignore one of us, but they can't and WILL NOT ignore all of us. -Thank you

Hello my sony trinitron model #kv-35v36 screen blinks on and off and colour is changing, lovely! I have a Sony Trinitron TV KV-34HS510, serial # 8021103 that has no sound or picture. The standby blinks a red light 6 times. I purchased set in 2003. Haven't had a bit of trouble until now. The Sony repair guy said it would cost $200 - 250 to fix. same problem with sony trinitron model kv-32s26 (1998). tv was on, left the room for 20min, came back in and it was "dead". will not power up..nothing. Sony Model KV-35v65 purchased in 1999. Just had the same problem. Suddenly it just won't turn on!! my sony trinitron repaired but i have to forget the remote cause it doesn t work.reparator had plased 2 wires in the memory card of tv that i must swetch them(he has desactivet the blinking)and tv its fine no no self turning off but no remote control goood luck with your sony s bye Purchased Sony Trinitron about 5 years ago. Model Number KV-32HS420. Serial Number 4027364. Same story here... Turned it off at night and now it won't turn on. First the red Light flashed repeatedly 6 times and paused. After unplugging the set for about 10 minutes, it still won't turn on and the red light changed to 7 flashes and a pause. I'm done with Sony products! 7 blinks, KV-40XBR800, #9046251 same problem here: sony trinitron 32" in standby mode. I have the 32" Sony (Yr 2000 Mod#KV-32S42 Ser#8206836), everything was working fine, color, everything was great. Then I tried turning it on one morning and there is no Audio or Video, only that red blinking standby light works. I also had a 32" Sony console TV that went out as well. I use to think that Sony was the way to go, but now I think Sony found the way to go off my list. I will not buy Sony anything any longer. With all the problems I've had with their products. Forget it!!! A person i Know has 1997-model#KV32S22, Any info would be great.THANKS |
