Hey we have a 35 inch Sony trinitron TV model KV-35s42 is doing the same thing as everyone else. No Picture do have sound. I'm not blind and would like to see the picture with the sound. I can't believe that Sony is still in business with all the reply here and with it started in 2004 and still going on... Sony should be doing something about all of these replys. I don't know about everyone else on this, but people talk and money talk... so good by Sony and hello ( LG ) Its the best as I can see... Good luck everyone!!!

We also have a Sony Trinitron (will look up the eaxct model # and serial # and will add those details later). Bought from Best Buy in early 1999. We also seem to have the same 'suddenly totally dead' problem. Yesterday, it wouldn't turn on. Somehow, by clicking the on button again & again it turned on. But then after an hour, whicle it was still on & we were watching a program, it turned off on its owen. Tried a lot but can not turn it back on. It is dead! No pic, no sound. On turining the switch, we hear that click sound, but there is no pic no sound, and then after few seconds we hear another click (the off click sound). The timer/standly light continues to flash. Looking at all these posts, this seems to be a common problem. I have seen brand-name TVs last for 15-20 years without a problem, but with SONY Trinitron TV, people seem to face problems quite ealy on itself. Meanwhile, so not know what to do further - Call a technician & pay an exorbitant amount for troubleshooting & then repair/parts OR buy a new (FLAT screen- wow!) one. If you receive any updates about the repair/solution etc., pls do post and keep us informed. Thanks!

We have a Trinitron monitor for our computer that we purchased from Dell in 2000. It has suddenly started to shut itself off while we are using the computer. It will come back if we shut it down and then turn it back on, but it seems to take more times each time it happens. Does that mean that the monitor is on it's way out? Should we be looking for a new monitor? Has anyone else experienced this as well? I can't find any info on the Sony site since I cannot figure out which number on the back is the model number and without that, there is no way to get farther on their support page. Thanks for any info you can give me.

kv-32ls65aus same symtomslight flashes. Purchased in early 2006, died 14 months later,outof warrenty, service man charged $130 to tell me its stuffed and to expensive to fix, not happy !!then bought a lg, same size for $650, still works fine

I have had my TV for 7 or 8 years. Within this time I had to have it repaired because one day it wouldn't turn on. NOW my TV blinks but I have sound and picture. What is going on with it now? Anyone know?

I as well have the same end to my 36" Sony television. Model #KV-35V36, Serial A904125, built March 1998. Power supply transistor failed(Q601) and took out a few other resistors with it. Had it repaired once but enough is enough. Sorry to see this tv go. :(

My Sony Trinitron DV-32FS13 turns itshelf off after 10 minutes in use... nothing else attached to it... no power bar.... the sleep timer is not program.... what a bummer....
