I am stunned...the banging method worked like a charm! I have DCR HC1000 and I see "E:61:10". Any advice please!!! Hey, i have the exact same probelm, error comes up E:61:10, and the zoom doesnt work. I opened the camera up where the zoom button is and the spring was loose but i cant get it to stay in the right place, so i dont no what im goin to do. I have used the option of smacking it couple of times and after 30 attempts of solid hard taps on the table, which would presume the model to break, the message E:61:10 is gone and the product is working great. I have DSC-M2. Thanks a million. working as a field engineer we need our camera daily... After the E60:10 error, we thought we were fuxed. Until we just dropped the thing twice. The answer really fixes the problem... nice work sony. Thank you for the help!!! I have a sony video camera with the same error and i managed it with your advice, thank you! I'm about to leave on a big trip tomorrow and i found that my camera suddenly doesnt work!! I've tried everyones "whack" technique but its not working for me! after about 20 attempts it did work but the focus wasnt working and everything was blurry.. does anyone know WHY this error comes up? is it possibly because there's stuff stuck in the lens: perhaps sand? because i did take it to the beach the other weekend and just on my last attempt at fixing it - i put it in picture mode and everything was blurry as usual with the E:61:10 flashing - but it seemed to be focussed on a few specks which i suspect may be sand?? any help is GREATLY appreciated! or else im gonna have to buy another camera at the airport tomorrow! The smacking method DID work for me, however I think my focus is a TAD off..is there a way to fix it? It's ridiculous that this works!! I have the T1. It took me about 20 minutes- about fifty or sixty hits- gradually more and more violent. A couple of times it fixed then broke again but now it seems all good. |
