The smacking method DID work for me, however I think my focus is a TAD off..is there a way to fix it?

i'm just about to leave on a trip around the world tomorrow and went to go take a photo of something and all of a sudden this bloody E:61:10 error shows up!!! was extremely pissed off and went home and read the manual which was no help and so now im here and after reading 15 pages of "Just give it 2 'whack's" IT STILL DOESNT WORK!!! HELP ME!
