It's ridiculous that this works!! I have the T1. It took me about 20 minutes- about fifty or sixty hits- gradually more and more violent. A couple of times it fixed then broke again but now it seems all good.

Ok so I have been trying to fix the e:61:10 problem and when I hit my camera, the error message goes away in the "view pictures" mode but when I try to take a picture, the screen is black. So when I switch modes again, the error message reappears ... should I keep hitting it? BTW, I have a DSC-T1.

Hurray: wacking it also works for video camaras. My friend's DCR TRV12E gave the same error code after his wife changed the tape on a sandy beach. It stopped focusing and zooming. This forum gave me the idea and the courage for this unconventional approach (or is it the most conventional ?) And now it works again. :-))
