Bob- you are a genius! I was just getting ready to send my camera to e-waste recycling when a neighbor told me to look on line for a solution....such an easy fix! I thought I broke my camera a couple years ago when I took it somewhere cold! I could only get it to work every now and then. Thanks!

I have had the smae problem for about a year now. My solution was to give the camera a slight squeeze over the sony logo front to back.
