I had the exact same problem and your solution was number 1 for "sony camera white screen". You had me fixed 15 minutes after I discovered the problem. AMAZING fix. Didn't think it would work, but it did. Thanks for posting it!!

You know I went and bought and new camera and came across someone on ebay that said in their listing there was a fix on google - so I google came across this and did and it worked - so I bough a new camera for nothing, but I will sell one of them. Thanks for the help. Char
