I have a JVC witha tv guide plus I can no longer get info on Tv shows after a power outage and it always resets itself so we have to program our channels all over again every couple of weeks. How can i fix this problem?

Clock wouldn't set, now just flashes Adjust Clock Ok, so my unit was working fine but it wouldn't turn off. I followed the Troubleshooting on p82 in the manual and unplugged it. Then I got the inevitable --:-- The plug and play feature never worked, and I let it sit overnight tuned to the local PBS station with no results. I followed the instructions in my owners manual on p21 on manually setting the clock. However, the set up button on my remote doesn't seem to function. I've replaced the batteries in the remote and still no luck with the set up button. All of the other buttons worked. Now I can't even turn the unit on, all it says is ADJUST CLOCK and there is a red light (timer?) that flashes. It doesn't respond to the power button on the remote or on the deck itself. Besides taking it back to the store I purchased it from, is there anything else I can do?

stacy simple, I rencently unpacked my jvc camcorder Model GRSXM240. The battery would not charge, so I went and puchased a new one. This battery charged, but when I turned the camcorder on it would only let the view finder work not the side screen. Could this be from long storage or is there a chance the window has a problem pulling up. The comcorder had not been used since my mother passed away last year 9-06. Do you have any troubleshooting info that might help me. If not what is the going rate for sears service centers to look at the product with no warrenty left. thank you for you time sherryc.

Hi I have a super vhs GR-SXM920ou it was dropped on the floor and now it has a blank screen and reads lens cover it still records and plays back but i cant see what im recording...any way i can get into it and see what happened to the lense? I love it and am missing out on recording the kids...any info would surely be appriciated!!

Less than a year ago, I purchased a DVD & Video cassette combination recorder. It has been very challenging. Since I purchased the unit, I've had trouble retaining my timer programs. I set them and everything appears to be normal. About 1/4 of the time, the program then disappears before the scheduled program. Now, the DVD recorder won't record at all. I set the program (using the same DVD's from the same package as before, dvd-r. When I try to finalize the disc, I get the disc icon with a slash in the upper right corner. When I try to play it, it says "unplayable disc." Help!

I have a JVC television Model #AV-2058S, Manufactured 1988. I don't have a remote control to it. I am trying to set the channels and color. I can pull up the menue, but I can not select anything. I tryed the channel up and down, and I tryed the volume up and down, but they do not help me in the selection. I am trying to watch all my channels but can't select the channel set. can you help me? JVC model AV-20FD23 TV/DVD Combo. Unit went off after near by lightning strike. Nothing else in our house - including microwave and another TV - were affected. Unit was plugged into a power strip and everything else on the strip is working fine. Old TV's used to have reset buttons -- couldn't fine anything to push. Unplugged and replugged several times to no avail. Can I fix it? Would you anticipate the repair to be a high cost item? Where is there a repair shop in Milwaukee/Greenfield ZIP code 53221?
