Hi I have a super vhs GR-SXM920ou it was dropped on the floor and now it has a blank screen and reads lens cover it still records and plays back but i cant see what im recording...any way i can get into it and see what happened to the lense? I love it and am missing out on recording the kids...any info would surely be appriciated!!

    Unfortunately with a drop...anything could have been affected with any type of electronic/mechanical product. Honestly repair or replacement is what you face. Evaluation at JVC is $50 + tax/shipping. Their min charge is $75.00 + tax/shipping which is labor only. IF more labor and parts are needed (parts are probably going to be needed) then it may be in your best interest to buy a new camcorder instead of investing a min of $150/$200 on a VHS camcorder. Check around the stores on on line for prices of a new camcorder and then figure what is best for you. Sorry about the accident..I hope all works out.
