JVC GR-D33U E-04 error / "Safegaurd Mode" I used my camera for 1 event, about 1.5 hours, and the stored it for 9 months. I tried to recharge and use it recently, only to find that I have an error code that JVC told me I would need to take to an authorized JVC dealer to service. They said it was something with the tape tension, or that the tape must be dirty. I know the tape was not dirty, but I have no idea about the tension. ...I do know that my tension is high. Do you have any help? I live in the D/FW area and travel to Houston every few weeks.

Hi, I have a JVC GR-DVL500U and I'm continually getting this message on power up: E04 Unit in Safe Guard mode, then remove and reattach battery. Hi, I am attempting to transfer the tapes from my DVM-300 JVC Mini cam and I can get video with an S-Video cable but I can't figure out how to get sound. Can you advise or tell me what cable I need to get to make this happen. I have a good deal of footage of my wife's mother who passed away and she would be thrilled if I get this for her. Thanks

Picture is too dark. I am not able to adjust to lighten the picture. I have tried everthing to get the picture on my tv to lighten up. Everything is dark. I have tried to adjust the tint, color, picture, bright, and detail on the menu screen but it does not help. I have a JVC model AV-27S33 24" TV. If anyone knows how to fix this, let me know.

I have a JVC Model # GR-D30U camcorder and when you try to close it, it stays closed for maybe 1 second before opening back up! It worked fine until we went on a cruise and now doesn't work! A few months later we went to try it and it closed but it wouldn't play or record. So we bought a cleaning casset, after that it worked. When we got home we tryed it and it went back to doing the same problem as before not closing!! HELP!! Thanks!

My JVC television( a slightly older model but great turns itself off. When you try to turn it on it double clicks meaning it turns on and turns off. After some time it will turn back on again, only to turn off several minutes later. What do you think needs to be repaired if possible? Thanks

I have a mid 90's JVC TV. It has worked well up to this point. But a few days ago the power button just started flashing on and off, and now the TV won't come on at all. I've tried holding down the power button and checking the cables but nothing is working. Is there anything else I can try? thanks, Daniel

Hi, I saw your posting on Pechorin's website. I have a JVC-AV20D202 color television. Manf date is 08/01. I was adjusting the color level on the menu screen and was able to do so. The problem I have now is that I get a good picture for about 15 sec and then I get a black square in the middle of the screen. It's almost like it doesn't know that the menu is off. How do I fix this??

I have a JVC I'art 32" TV(AV32F713) that has suddenly turned entirely purple. I've come across degaussing and the color problems people complained about don't seem similar to my TV's problem. Someone told me the blue photon gun needs replacing? Is this color xhange something that if I get into the service menu I can deal with myself? Thanks
