Re: JVC service or questions

Dan Colgan Posted Jan 03, 2007, in response to:Stacy Sample

Hi, I am attempting to transfer the tapes from my DVM-300 JVC Mini cam and I can get video with an S-Video cable but I can't figure out how to get sound. Can you advise or tell me what cable I need to get to make this happen. I have a good deal of footage of my wife's mother who passed away and she would be thrilled if I get this for her. Thanks

An "S" video cable carries only "video", it does not carry any audio signals, so you still require your other standard lead with the RCA (phono) plugs still connected between your camcorder and the videotape or DVD recorder, but leave the yellow (composite video) plug out.
