Thanks Ben Banks We bought a JVC digital video camera model #GR-DVL725U last Christmas and have had no problems with it all year -all of a sudden today it would just not power on. It is not the battery as we even tried with it plugged in. Any ideas? Thank you -Jennifer I have a JVC AV61pro and I seem to be getting no picture. It seems be stuck on standby. Please assist me urgently. Regards Nadine Barnard i have a JVC television (maybe 5-7 years old) i don't have access to the model number, but perhaps the answer to my quiestion isn't model specific. on the bottom two inces of the screen it says "no VCR select" in blue. this so-called warning has been present for the past 6 months after something on the remote control unit was pressed. it was working fine with our Viore VCR prior to this warning so why i can't figure out why the TV says "no VCR select" we can play movies dvds with our VCR, everything works properly...but the warning will not go away. anyone have any idea??? e-mail me back as soon as you can. sweet_sunflower_32@hotmail.com Julie. Hi Stacey, I have a JVC GR-DF550 Mini DV video camera. The last time I used it everything was fine. Now when I attempt to load the Mini DV the door opens but the part to insert the Mini DV does not open and I get an error message that the camera is in safeguard mode. I took out the battery and replaced it as directed but the same thing keeps happening. What should I do now? Thanks Denise I have Model # AV27020 JVC TV with vertical collapse. I know that generally the weakest components are the solid state devices and electrolytics. Vertical collapse happened abruptly on power up and I find it is not sensitive to prodding, tapping or movement! However I'm having some trouble defining the components of the vertical circuit! I wonder if you are familiar with a part that is most likely or a common weak component in this circuit. Someone who works on these everyday may have been exposed to the same problem many times! I no longer work on this equipment everyday so I'm not very effective without schematics! Especially since things have changed a lot over the last 20 years! I have looked for bad solder connections and found a few in the Horizontal section as usual but I don't see any others in what I think are vertical deflection components! I expected two complimentary output transistors but I think I only see one or should I say I see a 3 legged IC A TO 192 case I think from memory… marked "in" "out” & "C". I wonder if this is the vertical output device? I'm not sure? I need a schematic to determine the components of the vertical deflection circuit. If you can develop a picture of the vertical deflection circuit? That would give me some confidence which components to pull and check and or look for problems! I do have an oscilloscope to check wave form once I know where to look! It would be nice to have a component layout also if available to locate the parts but all are labeled so this is not a critical need! Any advice you can offer will be appreciated! Thanks Lee |
