I got a problem with jvc grdx97us . There is no image showing at all in lcd monitor and viewer for no reason when I turned it on the other day, even although I haven't record it for more than 10 hours since I bought it 13 months ago. Everything else works fine.Anybody got the same problem?

I have the same "safeguard mode" problem with the tape in... won't eject... took the unit to the only real family vacation we have left and it was so frustrating to have a camera that wouldn't let me load a tape. My son wanted to rip the tape out but I told him that would break the camera for sure. If the heads need cleaning, can I do it? I was good at it on other devices. This may be a moot point if I can't get the darn tape out.

I have been getting E06 error messages and getting mangled tape sticking out of the little cassette. So I cleaned the heads with a Qtip and alcohol and bingo! Shouldn't say this too soon but it seems to have fixed the problem.

My camcorder does the same thing. I sent into the company and the said it would be 250 dollars to fix since I was out of warrenty. I had already sent 50 dollars with the camcerder. They kept that. So I just don't know what to do. If you find a way to fix the problem please let me know. Thank You Paula
