Need help diagnosing dead sony kp53hs10 big screen

My High definition big screen stopped working. The stand by light blinks continuosly,with no breaks.I have called Sony and its a 2-3 week wait for a repairman to get here.Being football,that is difficult to wait.Any advice would be appreciated!Thanks!

  my kp53xbr300 mirror broke, someone told me the mirror from a kp53hs10 will work, do you know the deminsions for the mirror for the kp53hs10. i cannot find the mirror for the kp53xbr300 nowhere.

  My kp53hs10 big screen didn't die but my 2-yr-old cracked the screen in two places. Upone removing the top panel, the cracks went all the way through. If you want want to part out your dead TV's front panel, please email me. I'm willing to discuss a reasonable price.

  Rich, did you get a resolution to the problem? I recently had the cable company come out to up-grade me to HD and he could not get it to work. I ended up with the screen being mostly green. The tech said that it was the TV and probably with corrosion in the input jacks on the back.

    This reply is probably too late, but in case you haven't solved it yet, here's what I found. The TV has a menu setting to change the Video 5 input type. Connect a signal to the video 5 input (menu choice didn't come up without the signal present), go to setup menu, dtv input, and change from RGB to YPrPb. Problem solved. Please note that this TV only accepts 1080i, 480p, 480i and NOT 720p on the video 5 component input.

      Hi Dave, I have a similar TV problem like the one you described only my TV screen comes up pink/purple/deep red. I cannot get a picture however. I am interested in how you were able to access the menu setting to make the video5 control change. Appreciating your reply.

  I seem to be having the same problem as everyone else. My big screen died and the red light keeps blinking over and over again in no apparent sequence. Can you please send me a manual, so that I can trouble shoot?

  I'm Having the same problem as everyone else. Turn the tv on and the red light keeps blinking in no pattern. Can somebody send me the repair guide.

  Anyone know where I can get a replacement D board? Water leaked from my ceiling into mine and it is fried! A used one would be fine too, but I can't find this D Board anywhere!!! Please help. Thank you.

    I've got the same problem as everyone else. My KP-53HS10 has a stand/by light that continually blinks 5 times and the picture goes out intermittently. I would greatly appreciate a copy of the training manual and any information anyone has come up with regarding legal action against Sony. hgfink@cox.net

  hey i dont know what kinda sony big screen my brother has but the "stand by" light just keeps flashing and it wont turn on anymore, whats the deal can someone help? i got pictures if it helps..
