Need help diagnosing dead sony kp53hs10 big screen

My High definition big screen stopped working. The stand by light blinks continuosly,with no breaks.I have called Sony and its a 2-3 week wait for a repairman to get here.Being football,that is difficult to wait.Any advice would be appreciated!Thanks!

my sony just has blue shadows. I have a repairman coming today. I hope it is not something expensive. My television is the same as everyone else's. Please respond. Thanks

Anyone know of Sony's service bulletin PTV-00-018R2? Researching the web I found that this problem has been known for some time. What rights do we have with this service bulletin?
