My Sony KP-53HS10 has the "timer/stand by" light blinking 6 times then off, repeatedly. Help, anyone?

Any chance you might still have the manual for this problem? I have the same problem and just spent $580 repairing the convergence module. I don't want to spend another $$ any amount..

    THanks,

Hi, I have the same problem with my 51 inch sony KP51WS510. The standby mode blinks 5 times and turns off. Technician said there was a liquid spill at the back. I'm not sure how it happened - he showed me the board inside the TV and it looks like there's some wate marks. I'm not sure if it's just moist because of the changing room temparature but the warranty company won't cover the repair because they said it was an accidental damage and he's asking $600.00 for repair. Has anyone been in the same situation? Is there anyway we can have a "DIY" (do it yourself) repair? I'm not sure if the technician is telling me the truth but I have my doubts because he said aside from working at the warranty company, he has the same business on the side. I don't know anything about television. I feel bad paying for an extended warranty and don't have any use of it when I need it. I am upset because I feel cheated. Can this be a manufacturer's defect? I really need help on this and I would really appreciate if somebody can help me out. Gwen

Dead 46 sony bravia lcd, same problems repeatedly mentioned before with the red light of death. Thinking about getting my hands dirty with the hv flyback. Would someone be so kind as to forward me the training manual?

    Thanks,
