Rich, did you get a resolution to the problem? I recently had the cable company come out to up-grade me to HD and he could not get it to work. I ended up with the screen being mostly green. The tech said that it was the TV and probably with corrosion in the input jacks on the back.

    This reply is probably too late, but in case you haven't solved it yet, here's what I found. The TV has a menu setting to change the Video 5 input type. Connect a signal to the video 5 input (menu choice didn't come up without the signal present), go to setup menu, dtv input, and change from RGB to YPrPb. Problem solved. Please note that this TV only accepts 1080i, 480p, 480i and NOT 720p on the video 5 component input.
