The TV has a menu setting to change the Video 5 input type. Connect a signal to the video 5 input (menu choice didn't come up without the signal present), go to setup menu, dtv input, and change from RGB to YPrPb. Problem solved. Please note that this TV only accepts 1080i, 480p, 480i and NOT 720p on the video 5 component input.

Hi Dave, I have a similar TV problem like the one you described only my TV screen comes up pink/purple/deep red. I cannot get a picture however. I am interested in how you were able to access the menu setting to make the video5 control change. Appreciating your reply. |
