Home"The Petition": My family has a Sony Trinitron TV (Model Number KV-35V36) that was purchased in 1998. It too, like so many other of these TVs suddenly turned off and died. Over the years, we have bought many Sony products and have had little problems. However, this television "epidemic" is a major issue and one that must be dealt with and solved. Therefore, I propose this; ANYONE WHO HAS/HAD A PROBLEM WITH A SONY TRINITION TV, PLEASE POST YOUR NAME, MODEL AND SERIAL NUMBER ON THIS WEBSITE, WHERE I WILL PLACE THEM ON A PETITION TO BE E-MAILED/MAILED TO SONY. They might be able to ignore one of us, but they can't and WILL NOT ignore all of us. -Thank you

I have a Sony Trinitron tv KV-32S42..had it around 9 yrs...when i turn it on..the stand by/timer light in front flashes until picture comes on. once the tv is on, the picture flashes on and off, but sound is good. Also, the display, (video, channel number, whatever) stays up in the corner. Was told the tube was going bad. Any responses? I read all the same things going wrong with ev1's sony's...i know i WILL NOT buy another sony. thanks Have the same problem with my Sony 25' Trinitron ('98) model # KV-32S22. Worked great last night and then today........nothing, no pic, no sound, no power with other electrical components plugged in same power strip and they work fine. Guess Sony has decided to jump on the band wagon with the other greedy corporations and not look out for the consumer. Standby light blinking --- cannot get it off. Wrong button hit by child maybe, but it seems there would be a way to get the standby blinking light off. Ni reset button on back of Tv -- July 2003 made My 27" Wega's picture just started blacking out for no reason. Seeing as how nobody has posted a fix for this... I guess I'll just junk it. Sad part is I'll probably have to pay to get rid of it. It has been a nice TV for 7-8 years. It will be sad to see it go. bought a sony kv-32hs450 in 10/04. stopped working last night while sleeping, and blinks 6 times. no one seems to want to repair. i quess high def tvs are considered disposable these days. kv27v22---8023766--1998 did you get any response from SONY? Well, It's a sad day. Today Monday July 20th, 2009 my Sony kv-32v36 went Black screen. I purchased this on November 1996 and it was build in 1997. Purchased it brand new from Circuit City. My kids were watching PBS kide when I heard "Daddy the TV is not working"... I then realized the screen went black. I turned of the set and turn back on then the image came back only of a few seconds and then scroll up to the vertical side and went away... I can hear the Audio and the light sensor light is blinking. I shut off and let the tv sit for a few hours then I power it on and it stayed up for a few mintues for enough time to go into the menu screen and perform a scan of the channels to fix but no good. I want my Sony TV back becasue I can't afford a new one. Help. KV-35S36 TV purchased in 1998. same problems as may others. Turned off and cannot get it back on. No lights nothing. S/N#9011460. Can the poster that started this thread please advise if Sony has been notified of all the problems listed on all these pages? I have that 300 lb. anchor in my garage and don't know if I should hold on to it pending an outcome from our complaints. |
