Al - 16th Jan 2006 21:13 My Sony CCD-TRV308 camcorder is showing error codes C:31:11, C:31:10, and C:32:11 (one at a time, depending on what I'm trying to do). The errors happen when trying to eject the tape, push the play button, or after pushing the reset button.
This started after having the camcorder in a backpack while on vacation for a couple of weeks. The backpack never got wet or experienced any drops or hits.

My Sony BetaCam SP Deck UVW-1800 is showing me error code 02-694 and refusing to operate or eject. Can you tell me what this signifies?
Thank you.

Having the same problem here all of a sudden and no help to be found so far on the net. I'm still able to access the camera through the Windows Explorer and I wonder if anyone knows what the camera-contents should be (someone who still owns a working cam, because I suspect a corrupt file)
On my camera it shows: autorun.inf desktop.ini camera.ico and the folder "Internal Memory" which contains some pictures and another dektop.ini
Thanks in advance

A little update, The problem is still there though. and I don't know if it helps someone but hey..
Even with the error on screen I can put it on the dockingstation and get the photographs onto my computer.
After I turned off the camera again, I took the battery out for a few hours.
Then I put it back in and switched the camera on again. It started like fresh, asking to set date and time. So I set the date and time and pressed ok, it took 2 seconds before the error re-occured.
I repeated above step, but after setting time and date and pressing ok I directly pressed the zoom-in/zoom-out button, the small part of the lens turned clockwise and counterclockwise and moved back and forth, the bigger lensring (don't know how to call it) only turned counter-/clockwise but did not move outward or inward..
I however was then able to turn on the previewdisplay and was able to take exactly one photo and then the error immediately returned, when it tried to automatically show me the review of it.
This photo I was able to put on my computer and it looked like a normal photo
(note: Taking the battery out and putting it back in after about 5 minutes, sometimes seems to work as well, but not all the time.)
I repeated above step without taking a picture, I played with zooming for about 10 minutes (frustated I might add) and twisted the bigger lensring manually, then it also moved inward, very smoothly. no strange noises or other signs that indicated a broken lens. This unfortunately did not solve the problem, it seems I can 'force' the lens inward manually, however when I use the zooming it gets stuck on the same place as before
Repeated steps: Once I got the previewscreen again, I pressed the OK-button to enter the menu. No error occured. I was able to go through all the options in the entire menu without an error (did not change settings though).
(and I now know I have Firmware version 1.0000, not that that helps much, because there is no way I can update that as far as I know, nor is there an updated firmware to be found)
I formatted the internal memory and could enter and exit the menu after that without problems, I in fact could press all the buttons (even review) as far as I remember now. Also I could turn the camera on and off without error. Lens still not moving like it should. I took a picture and I was errorized again.
I'm going to continue my buttonpressing trial and error and let you know if I find out more (oh and because I have no warranty anymore, I'm going to see if I can find a tiny screwdriver to check out the camera's inside (mainly the lens) maybe I find something there....)
(on a side note: I read somewhere that kodak discontued production of the DX4530, because of technical issues. Does anyone know if that's true and if so, what the issues were (besides the horrible E41-error?)
Regards,
Reijnaart

Hi again,
My camera works again!
How? beats me...
We left it turned off for at least 3 months now (if not longer) and I decided to try once more, I turned it on. No error anymore and I can shoot all the pictures and store them again. We now have 2 working camera's (still I would never go for a kodak anymore, if there is no possibility to refresh firmware or something).
only tip I can give... (hope it works for you unlucky folks as well...)
Keep the camera turned off for a rrrrrrrrrrreallllllly longggggggg time!

Hi,
This JVC CG-SX22E UK model VHS-C camcorder chews tapes, afetr a few seconds running, it shuts down and displays E03 and says to remove and replace battery. On ejecting tape, about 2 feet of tape are chewed up in the mechanism. Any Ideas what EO3 indicates?
Thanks
