Hello Stacy, I have several Sony 1600 VTR's which I purchased for my middle Son (cinematograpy student At SVA) along with other video components to help further his interest. This weekend two of the VTR's were moved to his apartment where the both threw the same error code after starting. I suspect some kid of voltage error but I must admit that the load mechanism is noisy I am reluctant to move the other three until I have resolved the problem. I will sent the error code in a later email, unfortunately I don't have it with me (Iwasn't expecting to find assisitance, just a source of error code definitions) Thank you, Ed
