I have a Panasonic DVD/VCR DECK aand it comes up with the error code 7-U the dash is on top. I cannot get it to record and Panasonic doe's not answer. What is the code mean and how do I get out of it.

What is the code mean and how do I get out of it. I also can't get to the menu to set the clock or make any changes. The battery in the remote operates the TV fine,
