lol!!! this worked for me. as commented earlier. i received the same error 13:01 and all i did to remedy this problem was squeeze the memory stick pretty hard, not too hard to break it but just enough. after doing so i popped it in my h1 and presto it works. stupid memory stick. good luck and happy holidays. how do you format the memory card in your camera? I have a Sony DSC-P5 camera and when I installed the SanDisk 128 CArd I get an error C13:01 message on a blue screen . Can I fix the problem with the camera? Thanks for your help keep pushing the memory sitck in the camera then out the camera really fast do it for like 40 seconds, it works :) from www.avrepair.com/mavica MVC-FDxx Series (Floppy Disk Mavica's): If your camera is displaying these errors: Disk Error, C:13:01, C:32:01, and have tried to format a new disk (using your computer, w/ FULL format option) with no success, then you need a new floppy drive installed (FDD). The cost of the drive is $90.00, and labor is $60.00, for a total repair of $150.00 for most models*. *Cost to replace the floppy drive in models MVC-FD91, MVC-FD95 and MVC-FD97 is at $165.00 MVC-CDxxx Series (CD-R Mavica's): If your camera is displaying a C:13:01 error, or the you hear a clicking sound, and have tried a new CD-R disk with no success, then the entire laser/ motor assembly needs to either be repaired at a cost of $180.0, or replaced at a costs of $289.00. I was disheartened to find no solution. But a few people mentione that they tapped or dropped softly and the problem got resolved. I thought this to be the last resort before I throw it. I patted twice on the lens body softly and it worked... I think its a physical problem that the lens body does not goes back when switched off. Thanks!!! Well, it seems I'm having the same C:13:01 problem. I'm just curious on how to reformat memory stick. Any advice will do on how to fix it. Thanks. www.avrepair.com/mavica Same error message appeared on my DSC-M2. Bought the camera for about 8 month. The error message first appeared about 2 months ago. The error message only appears when I used the "movie" mode, the camera works fine under "photo" mode when only taking photos. This problem appears on and off for a while and 3 weeks ago it kept showing the error message. Since my M2 is still under warranty I took it to Sony for repair. Although it was free of charge but I am total loosing confidence with Sony DSC product and especially after reading all the comments in this forum. Anyways, Sony folks told me its a circuit board defect and they have replaced a new circuit board for me. But when I asked for the broken circuit board back from them, they rejected me and said they have sent it back to their Japan headquarter for failure mode analysis. I really doubt what they've told me~ SONY really needs to make an announcement to address this C:13:01 error problem. I don't think I will ever buy another Sony DSC product... I had the same problem in my Sony Memory Stick 128Mb... C:13:01 error I wanted to recover my pics, then I follow the indications of this forum: 1- Download the software PC Inspector from: www. pcinspector.de/download.asp#file_recovery 2- Put the memory stick in your card reader and run the program 3- The pics wa recovered 99 %, great!!!! 4- Format Memory card in your camera, not from the PC. |
