I have bought a cyber shot dscp72 and got the C:13:01 exactly a month after I bought it.Officemax(where i bought it)refuses to exchange and Sony has asked me to send the camera for repairs.I did not expect such quality from a brand like SONY.Lets see what hapens. And to be specific my problem is get this error with all the 3 Memory sticks I have. All were free with the camera.I have not yet reformatted the sticks but after reading the responses I feel,I am better off sending the camera for repairs within the 90 day free labor period. What do you all think? MAY BE SONY knows about this and does nothing. They products are such crap it is incredible. I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P31 and am now getting this C:13:01 error on one my memory sticks. I wasn't too worried about loosing my pictures because the first thing I did was took the memory stick and stuck it in one of these USB reader/adapters and downloaded my pictures by-passing the camera. Then I tried to format the memory stick from the camera, but that would not work. I still get the error. So I formatted the stick in my adapter on my desktop computer which worked fine. But the camera still tells me that I have an error C:13:01. Now I believe that something is wrong with the camera. I tried Kevin's idea of reformatting the memory stick like using this command "format F: /FS:FAT /A:8192" but that still does nothing for the error on the camera. I just thought I'd get out the memeory stick out of my Sony Clie and start using it instead of the bigger memory stick that was in my camera. Guess what, I still get the C:13:01 error. It has to be in the camera and not in the memory sticks. These memory sticks are true Sony memory sticks and not Lexar's or anything else. Are there any other ideas? please inform of where to find instructions for printing pictures after using Sony FD Mavica. I have a Lexmark Z22-23 printer. I am just having problems adapting the pictures and then printing the revised picture, r.e., zooming in on a picture and also using the cropping tool. Thank you for your assistance. I have a sony cyber shot camera and have the C:13:01 error. I think ( hope not ) that I have lost all my pics is there a way to get them back? Thanks in advance for any help Hi, This problem on the Sony's really sux. I'm a high school student and this problem has happened twice to me. The first time i called Sony and they told me to send it in. This was about 2 years ago. I got charged 300. The second time it fixed itself just by turning it off and i guess letting it cool for like 2 hours, and now literally right now i jsut got it again. So i started researching this crap, Sony needs to stop making crap. So I got the C:13:01 error again. This time, I just inserted and removed the memory stick rapidly 10-20 times -- helped but I fear/know it will happen again. Hi, I inherited a FD-91, and I immediately got the C:13:01 error. I kept on trying new floppies, formatting in the camera, and then the tab bending, without any fix. I got lucky and found one floppy that worked. The only thing that was different about this flopy is that when I tried formatting in on the camera, it took a while. This led me to an idea. I knew that all of the floppies that I had tried were not bad. I instead used a strong magnet and made one BAD. This time the floppy started the long format, and this time no C:13:01 errors. Hope that this helps someone Hi, I inherited a FD-91, and I immediately got the C:13:01 error. I kept on trying new floppies, formatting in the camera, and then the tab bending, without any fix. Do you bend the side wall tabs or the tabs that are angled down? It does appear my disc is in on an angle witht the left side (as you look at the disk when it is engaged)up higher than the right.
