Home | Previous messageQuick update: I fixed the camera myself as follows: 1. Hold camera firmly in left hand 2. Smartly rap front of camera with knuckles of right hand on the "Cyber-shot" logo. It worked, now the LCD is working again for free. Guess I don't need to pay Sony $111.00 for repair service. Bob Allen

Thanks for this fix. LOL!!! I was about to replace the LCD screen. I tried this and it worked! I truly could not believe it. You would think Sony put a hidden "fix the screen" button behind the logo. Soooo funny. Thanks again. if your trick works on sony cameras, how about samsung?? Unreal. I got this camera free. Now my 5 year has her first camera and she is thrilled. Thanks. thank u so much!! it worked.. the first time i tried it, it didn't work because i didn't brought my cam with me when i was searching this forum.. maybe i had the wrong step.. but now it worked!! THANK GOD!!! It worked for ne too. The camera belongs to my wife's work. I wonder if they will pay me the 111.00? Personally i would not own a sony point and shoot. All my cameras are Canon. This did not work for me!! I tried everything, the pressing on the bottom, knocking it, pressing on all the buttons and your trick. But nothing. I really need some help or advice or anything, because I don't want to get it fix for 120 $ !!! Thanks for your suggestions above. I had same problem. I just squeezed on the sony logo below the display screen. The display came back. Hey, my camera is a Sony, but it's a Cyber Shot. The screen for me isn't just black or just white. It is mostly white, with a black blob in the middle that appears to have some sort of line running across the screen. It's not a rare occurrence for the image to change blob shapes or places, though. For months it was fine because it was less than a quarter of an inch of the screen, but now it's the entire thing. Pictures can still be taken and looked at later, but it's just frustrating. The tapping on the word Sony advice made some lines appear on the screen for about ten seconds than disappear. Any other helpful hints? My warranty ended a month ago. :/ OMG - AMAZING I dont understand what to do!!!!!!!! i dont understand ur directions. HELP!!!! |
