Lynette Romero - 1st Jun 2006 3:00 When I turn on my Cybershot DSC-P52, I get an error message "Format error" and the picture of the memory stick (on the screen) blinks. I'm using the right kind of memory card and I have tried to format the memory sticks, even bought a new one - only worked for a few days. Is this an easy repair? How much does it cost? What is involved if I live in New York?

Mary Ann Trackwell - 1st Jun 2006 20:07 I have a Cyber-shot DSC-T1 camera. I have somehow damaged the screen of my camera, it has discolorations showing on the screen, like something has leaked through. Can it be fixed? If so, how much does it usually cost.
Appreciate your help, Mary Ann Trackwell

Hello, I'm in search of a DSC-W5 LCD screen. If possible i'd like to purchase the screen by itself. But if that's not possible e-mail me with a quote for repair and how long it usually takes.
Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem with my SONY MVC-CD300. A buzzing noise when you first turn it on and then the disc error message C:13:01. I've had the camera for 4 1/2 years and it has worked flawlessly until about 6 month ago when this problem started and it happens quite often. I do use the SONY Mavica CD-RW discs.
What is causing this and how do I go about getting it repaired?
Thank you,
Armand Olevano

Steve - 12th Jun 2006 23:09 I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-P10 model for about 3 years. Three days ago it fell while the lens was open. Now, the lens cannot retract although I can still hear it "trying" to. It looks like the lens is screwed on wrong. Is this fixable. It gave me a "Turn power off and on again" message, but nothing happened. How much would this cost? Thanks for any info. Steve

christian - 21st Jun 2006 11:33 Hi! Similar Problem: The camera (P200) was dropped approx. 2 weeks ago and showed an error message “E:61”. The zoom was faulty afterwards but the problem resolved after resetting the camera.
A few days later, however, the same error code re-occurred and since then the zoom has not been working despite resetting etc.
Is this likely to be mechanical or a "common" electr./ circuit problem?
How much would it be to repair it? Thanks! PS: I live in the UK.

Erica - 14th Jun 2006 23:54 I received a Sony DSC-S90 digital camera as a gift for Christmas. I believe it was purchased at Best Buy. The camera was accidently dropped on a hardwood floor and the silver ring around the lens came off and couldn't be found. Now, whenever I turn my camera on to take a picture, the lens moves in and out like it's jammed and on the screen it says "Turn off and back on", which still doesn't help. I still have the box, the reciept, the manuals and everything else that came in the package. However, the UPC was taken off the box and sent in to get a rebate. Is there any way I can still get my camera fixed?
Thank-you, Erica
