Re: Sony DSC MVC camera repairs

Hi there, I have a DSC W12 and the lens has packed up. Initially it stayed out, but now it's jammed in and when turned on it beeps furiously and the screen says, "turn the power off and on again". Any ideas or help would be gladly received.

  Yep, I recently had this happen to my DSC-P73. I was devastated until I looked really good at the lens and saw it was slighlty out of place. I pushed it with very little force to one side and it popped in palce. It has been working since.
  Seems the lens assembly will pop out of place to one side slighlty and it is hard to tell.
