  I have a Sony DSC-P52 Cybershot camera. I did not drop it, get it wet, or anything. However, the lens shutter is stuck in half-open and when you turn the camera on, it displays an error message telling you to turn the camera off and then back on. Doing so fixes nothing, however, and the shutter clicks and moves, but remains half-open regardless of what you do. Can this be fixed? How?

  I have a cybershot DSC-S70 Worked fine one day and quit the next. Will not work with new battery or connected directly to ac-dc charger
  Has been used a lot but no abuse.

  I have been using my Sony DSC-S70 for three years - I used it yesterday without a problem, however today, when I removed it from the case and turned it on - the display on the top of the camera has a flashing "LENS" going on, and the lens will not retract as it should (it won't move at all!) Also - the back of the camera display area has a flashing C:32:02 as well - not able to take any photos and had a lot of stuff to post on eBay. Is there a quick fix for this?
  
  BTW - I shut the camera down, removed the battery (hoping the camera would reset) - to no avail.

      Alex - I hope this is easily fixable. I forgot that someone who was taking my photo dropped the camera (actually, it rolled off a chair and dropped about 12" onto a carpeted floor).   I have a Sony CyberShot DSC-F505V. Lately I have to restart the camera quite a few times to get the viewfinder unscrambled. What's causing this?

    I should also note that when I took pictures while the screen was scrambled that the pictures actually came out all screwy, too (although instead of scrambled like the lcd they had horizontal lines through them).

    And when I say restart, I mean I not only turned the camera off, but disconnected all sources of power for twenty seconds.
