Model JVC RX-558V, while trying to plug every wire in the world into the proper location on the backside of this unit I started to smell a familiar electrical burning smell. The units backside was straight up into the air while I was do this(I know now I shouldn't have done this). Now, when I push the power button it's very faint then indicates over---- somethign or another. It doesn't work anymore. HELP

Hi Stacy, I was wondering if you know what could be wrong with my camcorder. You can not see anything out of the eye or display on the camcorder. It is asking to remove the lens cap but it is off. Any suggestions

I have a JVC GR-D30U camcorder and cannot find the intruction booklet. How can I get another? Also, I think I need a IEEE1394 cable to connect this camera to my PC which is also know as a fire wire. Is this true or should I be looking for something else? Does this connect to the USB port on the PC or does the PC need another type of connection? HELP! I have a newborn and toddler I am trying to record and I really don't have the time to figure this all out. They will be in high school before I do :( Thanks.

My Step daughters' father passed away in the summer. One of the items that her father left behind for her was a JVC (model AV-31BP6)tv. After several attempts , I am unable to achieve 2 things: 1) By exhausting options on the remote(and utilizing the actual buttons on the tv itself), the sound will not come on. 2)There are only a limited number of stations that I can actually engage(There must be a way to que in all of the stations using the remote) We would be extremely grateful for any information that you could forward us at the above e-mail address. I have an Error 02. I took the battery off and tried everything by the manual and it still says error 02 safeguard mode. How can I fix it?

Stacy, I own a GRD72U. It works fine on one of my computers (XP SP1), but fails when I install SP2, AND fails either way when I try to use it on another computer I own. The symptoms are strange: in ALL cases, both computers "see" the device when I plug into the firewire cable and turn it on, and also in all cases (and I've tried three different pieces of software including the one that your company ships with the camcorder) I can control the camcorder from the {C-based software interface. But when it fails, the capture button in the software starts the camcorder playing, and then nothing gets captured (and then the camcorder stops playing). Microsoft can't help, HP (manufacturer of bothe computers) can't help. I'm praying here: can YOU help? Thanks!
