I have a JVC GR-D750u camcorder and when I try to use it I get a message as follows: Unit in Safeguard mode, eject & reinsert tape, 03. I have had no success doing what it says and I have tried several tapes including a new one all genuine JVC tapes.

I have a JVC Model AV36F702, when you turn the set on the power light comes on but within 10 second the red timer light starts flashing. No picture or sound as 10 seconds is not long enough for the set to start. The timing light stays on until i unplug the set. Any idea what it could be and is it worth fixing, it is about seven years old. thanks.
