Home | First message in thread | Previous messageI had the same problem with my MP4 player. I turned it off while it was playing, when I turned it back on it started to give me the same "disk error" all the time. Searching here and there I came up with this solution, I hope it works for you also! Connect the player to the computer. Next, click on start, then click on 'run'. In the box, type 'cmd', then click OK. Now type cd\ and then hit 'enter'. Now type format/fs:fat and the letter assigned to your MP4 and then hit enter. (Example: format/fs:fat e:) It will ask you if you want to format, so say yes. In the middle of the process, it will ask you something about clusters, so say yes again. In the end, your MP4 should work. However, all your files will be deleted, so you will have to put them all back. Like I said, it did work for me, I hope it does for you also.

i was downloading songs to it, it said it was done so i unplugged it and when i tried to listen to my songs it said error disk. i swas downloading songs then it was done so i unplugged it then it said error disk thank you i had the same problem and it is fixked thank again i am24 year Another, easier solution for Windows users is to right-click on the device in My Computers, and select Format. This will show you the actual size of the memory in the device, in addition to allowing you to easily format it. As previously mentioned, you will lose anything stored on the device, but if you're getting the "disk error" message and can't access anything as it is, you've got nothing to lose (that you haven't already lost). I'm 40 yrs old and would like to thank you for your help I am now the BOMB to my hubby. THANKS JUAN you are the best Wow, you are awesome! Thank you soooo much! Worked perfectly! THANK YOU!!!
