I have a JVC GR-D90U camcorder and recently I get vertical lines on my screen and an error code E01- camera in safeguard mode. How do I fix this?

I have a jvc vhsc camcorder model #gr-ax640, I recorded someone singing and the playback sound sounds like a really sick whale. I cannot find information on the audio part of this camera.
