Re JVC GRDVX4 E04. I've just had a probe inside the machine and a white spindle which pulls the tape around the head seemed to be moving very stiffly. I gave it a few gentle pushes and pulls and lo and behold the machine now seems to work but not sure for how long.

Hi, I'm getting E04 error message suggesting to ejact and replace the tape. I have also lost some recording from last week which was about 1 hour. Tape is blank at this time. I kept getting E04 message while I was recording and I' getting it now while playing the tapes. Any help from you is really appreciated. Thanks, Kamlesh C. i have a jvc gr-sxm37u camcorder. when turned on i ge an error eo1 reattach battery, in safe guard mode. so i take the battery off and reattach turn on same thing happens. what can i do to fix this problem. thank you

My camcorder is stuck on E06 saveguard mode. I have removed and reattach battery but it is still not working. Any ideas. Thanks Joan

I have a JVC GR-D31U. The only problem I'm having is that it's not recharging the battery. I purchased a new battery, so I know that's not the problem. The LED that's supposed to flash while charging doesn't flash. I've ordered a separate charger, but it would be nice to have the camera work properly. Is there a "master reset" button or anything fairly simple that I might try? Thanks!

I have a JVC 250x that I dropped. It worked for about one minute, the screen became grainy (while not in record mode), then shut down completely with the tape still inside. Is there a way to get the camcorder to turn on, if only to retrieve the tape without forcing it? Thank you.

Hi - my camcorder GR-D70 is giving me error Consideration Operation Paused Please Wait. I did wait more than one hour - as the manual says - but it's been couple of times I already waited for more than 12 hours and the error was still there. The way I did that was I had the battery on and power cord plugged in. The LCD screen was opened and the power switch was on Auto or Play. I removed the battey and am now trying with the power cord alone. If there's no way I can fix that myself, would it cost me a lot of money to repair it or should I just get another camcorder instead. Please advise. Thank you.
