How much does the Canon XL2 cost? Canon's planning for a release of the XL-2 in April of 2004. How's the new XL2? ok now wheres the xm3 It's been announced! It's here, but I don't know if anyone has it for sale as of July 14, 2004. It looks awesome and the features are totally pro-based. Finally, it has a 16:9 chip set, progressive scan and 24p recording. SMPTE timecode is fully setable and features drop, non-drop and user bits. Audio is finally via XLR and it appears to have a BNC video output connector. All good stuff! Now, if only they'd come out with a hi-def version using Canon's CMOS 8 megapixel chips like they use in their high end digital still cameras! I've been waiting for the XL-2 for a year already..... Canon s*cks. I can't wait anymore. I'll go for the Panasonic DVX. And I think Canon is just siting back there just laughing at us talking about an XL-2 that DOESN'T EXISTS, so let's not mention "XL-2" anymore...... See ya Canon! Canon announces XL2 today in New York. true 24P(adjustable rates). true 16:9. awsome release next month! I think the idea from canon open toany up grades is good why store a camera in the shelf or try to get rid of it for less money you paid for it for alittle new trend or component ,they either forgotten to install or games to make money.o.k what I am trying to say we all better hope outsider hookups on our cameras like piggy back converters disks and lens leaving an infinity of options .when we can send in the cameras for new fitted cccds not to costly then we can cont. to have our xl2, xl3 , xl4and so on . I want to buy a new camera, my first camera, I was planning to buy the XL1s but after reading your opinions I'm undecided, because i will like to buy the latest thing in the market. should I wait?. please let it shoot 24p....PLEASE... |
