It's been announced! It's here, but I don't know if anyone has it for sale as of July 14, 2004. It looks awesome and the features are totally pro-based. Finally, it has a 16:9 chip set, progressive scan and 24p recording. SMPTE timecode is fully setable and features drop, non-drop and user bits. Audio is finally via XLR and it appears to have a BNC video output connector. All good stuff! Now, if only they'd come out with a hi-def version using Canon's CMOS 8 megapixel chips like they use in their high end digital still cameras!
