Just to add to the pool of weird solutions. I dropped my p-150 today(1 foot) and my Sandisk 512MB, which was in the camera, started to give me the c:13:01 error. All my other cards worked. I finally sort of squeezed the card and reinserted it and it now works. I suspect that internally, these cards might be fragile. At first I couldn't believe that people were actually dropping their cameras on purpose, but when all else failed I decided to give it a try and....the camera died. Just joking, it worked like a charm. The E:61:00 message went away and the camera's auto focus works again. Thanks for the idea. i have got a sony DSC F717 and yesterday i bought a new Sandisk memory stick pro 512MB. I receive the same error from the camera. I tried that trik with two diferent kind of erasers, introducing the stick a lot of times in the camera, formated the stick several time with the funtion of the camera (also in the laptop, in FAT format). Always the same... i have a normal stick from sony (32MB) and it works properly. Format works in the camera and in the sony laptop. I can load Photos through the laptop and format them, but not see them... I didn´t get to make any photograf using this memory stick. FORMAT ERROR C:13:01 I don´t know if the memory stick is faulty or if i´m doing anything wrong... Please help... i´ve tried everything but open the camera... (it´s because it works perfect with the other one) I had the same error on my P72 with a Lexar MS was unable to format the stick in my camera so I went out and bought a cheap card reader, but it was unable to read or format the card either (refused to acknowledge that the card was even inserted) i was about to give up when I tried wiggling the card in the slot slightly - when i pushed the card upwards (forcing it onto the contacts in the reader) it instantly popped up on my screen and i was able to copy all the photos onto my PC. it seems to me that the C:13:01 error is a generic error the camera gives when it can't read the card - there are various reasons why it can occur, corrupt formatting or dodgy contacts seem to be the most common. anyway, thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread. before you throw your mavica away because of DRIVE ERROR message write me. may have solution or purchase your camera. memory stick works in Sony DSC V1 but says Card Access Error when inserted in HP 1315 photosmart printer card slot i just put the memory stick and switch to format function of the camera den format thats all... the memory stick is now ready to use~ Use the program BodCopy to recover your photos from your Memory stick. Hi, sorry to bother you guy but if anyone could help me I would really appreciate it. I have access to the disk new or used. I can see the pictures in them. When I try to see it in my computer, I get the message that the disk is not formated, if I put it back in the camera, I can see all the pictures and I can even take more pictures. Does anyone know anything about this error??? Thanks, I get the C:13:01 error message even when i install the new memory card in camara. Please help me |
