Re: Sony Trinitron TVs

Mike Williams Posted Jul 29, 2010, in response to:anonymous

My Sony quit working to. It's only 8 years old. I found a web site where there are thousands of people who has Sony TV'S that quit working. What's wrong with this, when a major TV manufacturer such as Sony (who charges top dollar for their tv's) and have such a design flaw, where their tv's quit working only after a few years, can get away with this in any way shape or form. How can this problem be so bad on thousands of Sony tv's and nobody (not even the U.S. Government) will do anything about it. I used to buy everything Sony for years and years. I will never buy anything Sony again. This is BULL_ _ _ _. Model Number : KV-34XBR800 Serial Number : 8008470

I have a KV-40XBR800. This TV has very low hours of use. I am getting the 6-blinking stand by ight when trying to turn on my Television. I'm learning also that in spite of this being a major ssue. Sony has decided not to supply replacement D-Boards, which is apparently the problem. The alternative is to have the D-Board serviced. Regardless, not happy that this seldom used TV has what seems to be a problem that might force me to have to replace my TV.
