I bought a Sony Wega Trinitron HDTV KD-34XBR970 back in 2003, after my divorce. It provided me great comfort with superiour picture quality, until one day, 6 years later, it just wouldn't turn on any more. I spent a lot of money on this television, and it kills me to find out that I am not alone in this defect, and yet, the general public isn't aware.

hi,
i found a site, that told me what to do to get the tv to turn on. It worked!. While facing your tv, locate the lower right side of your tv. with your hair dryer, set on high, aim the dryer on this location only. do this for 3 minutes. for me the tv goes on everytime. hope this works
