Mate you guys are awesome I got a DCR DVD110E as an ex display (u know the ones with the holes in cause theyve been bolted to a frame) model and it repaired the dvd recording side so I could use it as an xmas present for my daughter the repair went ok except for a ridiculously fiddly strip down with ribbons just about everywhere until I got the Battery and Charger from ebay plugged it in and Error E:61:00 it would appear then not appear when restarted but the lens simply would not zoom instead the image simply un focused or focused in as if the auto zoom was allowing for the difference by relative zoom but the zoom function itself was simply not moving at all. Dreading re-stripping the thing down to diagnose the error I jumped on the web and found this forum. I banged it with my finger on the lens a few times and the error disappeared but the zooms physical functionality was still not working so I took off my trainer and as I pressed the power button I hit the lens Housing Front and sides with an angry force and voila. The Camera is repaired. I'm guessing it must either be dirt in the Cog teeth or simply rubbish motors in use. Thank you so much guys I was at the end of my Christmas spirit but now its back. Merry Christmas to you all. |
