I have a 2003 Sony Wega 42" LCD. Had it for 2 years when the blue panel in the screen went. After months of arguing with Sony about this very expensive repair, they were willing to discount the part. It was still going to cost $1,000 to repair a TV that I paid $2,800 for two years earlier. So we've been watching the TV with no blue color in the picture! Now, 3-1/2 years later, the TV will not turn on. The green light flashes, then it goes into standby, then it shuts off. This will probably cost hundreds to fix. I got 5-1/2 years out of a $2,800 Sony TV. Really, I have a mitsubishi TV from the mid 1980's that still works fine. I feel completely ripped-off by Sony!
