Thank goodness for you people! I was quoted $341 to send my Sony DCR-DVD403 camcorder for repair when the E:61:10 message came on. My autofocus was not working at all. With 2 good smacks on the back of the camcorder, it now works! I was apprehensive at first because I not one to advocate abusing a piece of electronic. I tried smacking it on the LCD side first, then on the front side with no results. I kept reading the posts until someone said smack on the BACK of the camera. AND, whala! I'm good to go! I really appreciate all the posts.
