oh! hey, i've got the same problem... have you solved it already? you see, i was so pissed off trying to safely remove the USB drive, then i turned the player off and removed the cable from the PC... then yeah, when i plugged it again, the PC showed no files in my mp4 and when i looked at it directly, it's an empty disk, and the pc can't detect it anymore the second time i plugged it on the PC... help me... this was a birthday present from my dad...
