Home | Previous messageUnfortunately although the model DX75 "does" suffer from the lens cap defect due to a faulty image sensor having been fitted at time of manufacture, the actual free repair offer that has been in existence for about 30 months or so ended on the 1st of this month. However as Tracey has mentioned its still worth a try, as JVC has been known to carry out "good will gesture" repairs, although its a question of whether or not Sony (who supplied the faulty modules) would reimburse JVC for the said repair, and so that might be the determining factor.

I will possibly e-mail you directly with a screenshot of the ribbon section referred to. Ok, I understand. Hopefully i'll have time tomorow to check the camcoder. If you will have time, then you can send the picture, thanks. If you worked with my cam model, do you remember if it has any hardly attached points where i should be more carefull at opening it? Thanks. Im technically inclined person, i am repairing electronics and have the tools for repairing them too :), but i wanted to hear from someone, i was thinking that it's just a firmware problem. I am not good at english, and don't know all the words so that was the problem :D, i will check that cable, and respond here if it works. Thanks for your help. (sorry if I wrote something disturbing, i'm not doing it intentionally just that im not good at English, thanks for understanding :D)... How can I repair it? And how can i repair it? Please send the fix option. Thanks, Tiberiu. Re[3]: JVC GR DX 75AG -Black screen jb38 - 15th Mar 2010 22:22 The image sensor fault occurring in the model mentioned doesnt come into the same category as comments made regarding the DX model, as in the DX ranges it was due to faulty sensors having been fitted hence the "free" repair, but on the one you mention its more likely to be a bad ribbon cable connection or the mode switch thats responsible.
