Re[2]: JVC Television

Annette Posted Sep 29, 2007, in response to:JB38

This TV is older than I thought. We purchased it in 1991, but this is the first time we had any trouble. The model is AV-2650S. As I said before, the sound was fine, but there was only a black screen. Sometimes the picture would come on for a second then back to black. I don't know if it is worth fixing.

Provided your original symptom (flat white line) still applies then the components to effect a repair are only in the region of $15, although it all depends on the actual labor charge levied by the shop / engineer. However if the original statement doesnt apply then the fault can be absolutely anywhere in the set, and if "not" used on an aerial it could also be caused by the input from whatever's connecting leads, or a defect in an external cable box etc.
